April Fools' Irritation

Somehow several young children in my house found out that you could tell April Fools’ Jokes on April 1st. Worse, I think it was my mother that told them. Now, since we’re trying to reinforce the concept that you still can’t lie, even if it’s April Fools Day, jokes are falling flatter than flat because they haven’t grasped the concept of subtlety.

I don’t enjoy April Fool’s day at all. It makes me feel like a dope when I believe some of the things people say. I guess I don’t figure that a lot of folks would lie to me, so I’m kind of gullible. I can’t even pull off a good April Fools “joke.” I tend to give myself away. I totally should have said, “I’m having Dan’s baby!” just to see how many people would say, “Uhh, Churchgirl, you’re insane.” heh. Glad to see you’re back.

It’s actually an old look (from my PHP Blogapp) that I finally got around to applying to Movable Type. Thanks, though. :)
