Identity theft

Last night I found out I was selling my motorcycle on eBay. This surprised me, since up to that point I did not own a motorcycle; nor could I legally ride one. But there it was, complete with pics and the requisite trying-to-look-hot-girl to boost bids (so click at your own risk).

Of course by now you realize something is slightly off about this whole thing (if not from the title). I had never, to this point, been a victim of identity theft, so I was loathe to admit it to myself. Especially after I realized I’d been duped by one of those phony eBay information verification emails. Worse, I had heard about such spoof emails, so I checked the email address to make sure it was from eBay. Oops … you have to check the domain name of the page the link takes you to, not the email address of the email. So much for my l33t h4x0r status. How embarrassing.

Sam and Chris wanted me to sell it to them … so funny. But my mother would never approve anyway.
