Two-Dollar Bill

Tonight’s Final Jeopardy question was something like: “This building is the only one featured on two pieces of current U.S. currency; exterior and interior.” None of the three contestants got it, but I guessed right: Independance Hall … though I had a niggling feeling that the interior shot was the one on the back of the two-dollar bill (exterior on the back of the $100). I don’t think the two-dollar bill counts as current U.S. currency, does it?

Actually I think the $2 bill is still being produced. I think it all started for gambling purposes. Actually, I forget the story of the $2 bill but I believe it has an interesting history. I have a few of ‘em. One I bought off a guy in line at McD’s who was about to spend it. Cost me 2 bucks! What a scam!

Heh. I have one or two at home, too, I think. I think my grandmother gave them to me for my birthday or something once upon a time.

I think the $2 bill is technically current, because people can still use it anywhere U.S. currency is accepted.
