Google auto-complete

Google is so cool.

Guy alerted me to this new feature, which guesses what you’re searching for before you finish typing it. Kind of like a Segway sensing where you want to go today before you even think it.

Another step in the journey to a direct-yet-wireless interface to your brain. (Not really … it’s just a really slick auto-complete feature. But it sounded cool to say it.)

Note: since you’re basically flipping through everyone else’s search queries, the suggestions aren’t necessarily G-rated. I hope they fix that before general release … or at least make it respect your content filtering preferences. Use with caution.

fyi - there’s a good breakdown of how this works here: http://serversideguy.blogspot.com/2004/12/google-suggest-dissected.html
