Not only does CallWave provide free iPhone-like “visual voicemail” on your Dashboard or in a web browser, they just introduced a new killer feature, for free while it’s in beta: Vtxt message transcription.
I just missed a call, and a moment later I received an email with the spoken text of the message in the subject line. Very cool.
(I still entered Engadget’s iPhone giveaway anyway.)
I found out about CallWave from an issue of Mac|Life and I thought I’d give it a try. It was neat until I found I wasn’t at my computer enough for it to be fully functional to me. I do, however, like the text messaging widget they have! Saves me from having to text with my phone and just type!
I later discovered Jott. Now THIS is an app that I can live with! Great for texting while you are driving AND its basically a two step process! Give it a try, there are many uses with Jott! AND IT’S FREE!
