Changed my WordPress theme to Oulipo by Andrea Mignolo. I like it because it has nice typography and is still rather minimalist. I’ve played with some similar ideas over the months/years, but could never seem to get anything together. I don’t have time to make a complete WordPress theme these days anyway. You might need […]
I finished a consulting project yesterday that had been taking up most of my free time for the past couple of weeks. It has been nice to relax so far this weekend without that constant worry: “Isn’t there something else productive that I should be working on?” And for the first time in quite a […]
I have a dream. My dream consists of having a killer website, informative blog, spectacularly designed, to serve as both an ad for my services and as an interactive resumé. Sadly, life always gets in the way of having enough time to get everything done, and when I do find the time to design things, […]
Um, so, I got tired of the other design. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. More cool stuff coming soon. Like repairing the layout on non-front pages, IE compatibility, and some small software projects. (Oooh.)
Even though my new design went live two days ago, and even though I did not previously know about the May 1 Reboot, I’m going to pretend that I am participating in it. And also, even though I’m not registered at the may1reboot.com site. Yes, I know the other tabs don’t work yet. I might […]
NetNewsWire needs to have a rating system, similar to iTunes. I want to be able to prefer some feeds over others, to have them shoot to the top, or use some other method of distinguishing the latest post on my fiancĂ©e’s weblog (which I want to be sure to read) from the dozen daily entries […]
My WordPress installation’s XML-RPC file is not working. When I link directly to it, I receive a 406 Not Acceptable error from Apache. And neither MarsEdit nor ecto can do anything with it. Upgrading to WP 1.5.1.3 didn’t solve it. I’ve googled and googled, but I can’t seem to find anything. Help!
While composing a blog entry today (which was subsequently eaten by a Safari crash, despite Saft valiantly saving my tabs), I became frustrated by the difficulty of putting screenshots and text together into a simple blog post. So, here’s my idea: Someone needs to write a blog editor, similar to MarsEdit or ecto, that supports […]
Tagged by Tim. The Rules (as given to me): “List five songs that you are currently rocking the living heck out of. It doesn’t matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they’re any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying right now.” I decided these were to […]
My very good friend Guy is blogging again, this time with WordPress. I’ve been happy with it since I started using it a few months ago. High on my list is it’s excellent comment handling and filtering tools, and it’s intuitive administrative interface. ‘Cause you know I’m all about the interface. So go read Guy’s […]
